Our Process

PCB Design and Development

Build the tech and electronics of your products. Condense your breadboard into a functional prototype. Design your system, optimise your hardware and software, and allow us to help you with the architecture of your product.

Let us handle the complex work.

Overview

The development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) is a specialised skillset that can be confounding to the general population. Loose, modular, breadboard prototypes are clunky and will need to be converted into concise, accurate, reliable PCBs for incorporation into complete products. The process itself, however, can be confusing for most clients. Here is an brief overview of the entire process:

To simplify, PCBs are circuits – to build a circuit, we first design or draft how we want the circuit to look like (brief and systems design), then we think about what components and where we get them from (choice of components). If the client already has an existing prototype, we may not have to do modular testing and can go straight into building functional PCBs. Subsequently we build the circuit, and repeat in multiple iterations as need be to solve any issues that may pop up. Optimisation of size (miniaturisation) can happen towards the end, once PCB function is assured.

What we can do for you

Here is a summary of PCB-related services that we can tackle:

  • General PCB design and development
  • Single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layer boards
  • Rigid and flexible circuits
  • Surface-mount (SMT), through-hole, mixed technology
  • Electronic and hardware design
  • System design and architecture
  • Software and firmware development
  • Optimisation of tech
